Health Camps & Awareness Programs

Health is a productive asset that influences economic growth significantly. According to the National Health Policy 2001 the morbidity & mortality levels in the country are still unacceptably high. We recognize that attainment of health indicators have been very uneven across the rural-urban divide. Access to public health services is nominal and health standards are grossly inadequate for the vulnerable sections of the society. The over all objectives of our health programs have been Promotion of positive health, prevention of diseases, early diagnosis-treatment and follow up of disease, and provision of healthy environment.

We have successfully campaigned in Immunization process through organizing health camps with the help of local Govt. Hospitals and the Immunization included giving up regular doses of Tuberculosis, Diphtheria, Pertussis, Polio, Measles and Tetanus to Children and pregnant mothers.

Jesus Educational & Social Upliftment Society organises free health camps under our healthcare program which aims to take comprehensive health care services (preventive, promotive and curative) for the most underprivileged population in remote rural areas and urban slums. Jesus Educational & Social Upliftment Society Health Care initiatives include the following:

  • Primary Health Care Camps
  • Health and Hygiene Awareness
  • Specialized Health Camps (including eye & dental)
  • Adolescent Health Education and Counseling
  • HIV/AIDS Awareness

Towards creating a healthier society by popularizing preventive measures, we additionally organize multiple awareness programs on various issues of health and hygiene. One of the strategies employed is involving children and youth in awareness programs like rallies, debates etc. because, children are the best messengers to carry the message to their parents, family and other community members.
